What do you season/marinate your steak with?

  • A can of Coke and pepper and garlic salt. A friend of mine swears by marinating thick steaks with Jack Daniels. I have never tried that one.

  • We use KC Masterpiece "Steakhouse" marinade. We also poke holes in the steak and put in pieces of raw garlic for extra flavor. And we usually marinade it overnight.

  • I poke holes in the steak with a fork (don't make it swiss steak but a good 8 or 10 pokes with a fork per side is good), put on some Tony's Cachere seasoning rub it in with a little worcesterchire and a few drops (literally a few drops) of hickory smoke, repeat on other side, let marinade for at least 30 minutes in the fridge. YUMMY. Okay, now I'M hungry!
