Can i re-use the gerber baby food jar to freeze my homemade baby food??

I have been washing and saving my baby food jars but can i re-use them, can i freeze them? they are glass. and what about the square plastic ones?can i re-use them too.

  • yep,just make sure you sterilize the jars

  • I used tp just freeze them in ice cube trays, and transfer to zip lock bags.

  • Just make sure you allow a little room for the expansion. They should be fine.

  • The jars should be fine, but the plastic wouldnt, only because to me, the lid doesn't seem tight enough.

  • I used them to freeze homemade babyfood. wash/sterilize them first and let them cool slowly. Don't fill them too full because the food will expand. also let the food thaw slowly, like the day before. I used stickers and a marker to label what was in each jar and when I made it. Use the oldest first.
