  • Do you think that they will lead to labor soon than? I am so ready to have baby. I have so much pressure down there, cant sleep, and losing my plug like no other.

  • it just varies from pregnancy to pregnancy, ive been having painful braxton hicks from 20 wks, they are so painful that i double over sometimes...but still no 36 wks now and have so much pressure down there that my pelvis bones are sore and it hurts to move but still no baby, so u could have a week or so or it could come today just whenever the baby comes

  • I had the same situation. Around 37 weeks I started cramping. Nothing serious just felt like a period. It was always irregular never consistant. I am now 39 weeks and 4 days. I am not progressed at all. This is my first pregnancy. My doctor wasn't worried about the cramping. Its probably Braxton Hicks. If yours start to get more painful and closer together then I would say its labor. But if your just uncomfortable and having period like cramps then your fine. Its just your body getting ready.

  • Braxton hicks are what you want to have at this point. That's what helps to soften your cervix getting you dilated and effaced. I had them for a solid week before I went into real labor with my son. I started timing contractions two days before he came. They were regularly spaced, but then they'd just quit. Finally on Saturday I had strong contractions all day about 10 mins apart. Didn't go in until Sunday morning around 9. Every pregnancy is different, and every body is different, but don't discount the Braxton Hicks!! They're helpful!
