Wow, I know someone who gets approximately $2000 in unemployment for a whole year. Not to mention foodstamps, WIC, and a lower house payment.

What do you think about this? Makes me jealous.

  • Makes me glad we're fortunate enough to not be on PA so you don't have to be jealous.

  • $2000 for a whole year and your jealous? My dh was on unemployment for 10 months while he was trying to find another job 8 years ago and was getting $520 a week plus WIC and foodstamps. Granted our housepayment stayed the same but why would you be jealous of someone on PA?

  • Why would I be jealous? I'm not on any assistance at all because I have a hard working hubby and thanks to my 5 years of military service I'm back in college and it's paid for. I'm proud of my life, proud we don't ask for help. We do it on our own.

  • No. $2000/month, and they are allowed to receive that for a whole year, equalling $24000/year.

  • I'm sure the umemployment varies by state because my dad was making a $1000 dollars a week before her was laid off and when he got unemployment he was making a quarter of that a week. No lie.

    Thankfully now he works.
