How can you tell if your toenail bed is damaged?

It has been 30 yrs. for me and my toenail never grew back normal.

I hate it bc it is little and rough looking I try to trim it and flatten out but it still grows bumpy looking and it grows very slow.

I have gotten tips put on it and yes it helps alittle but I can't help thinking about fungus and bacteria forming under the tip.

What would you do?

I do polish it just like that but I don't like the way it looks :(

  • You can try laying down in it! J/K Yes it does sound like it be damaged I've been told to soak my nail in warm milk and then to put vicks vapor rub on it. It seems to work pretty well or you have to file it first. Good luck.

  • Go see a podiatrist and see if there is anything that can be done for it.
