Daycare or Nanny? Any recommendations in ATL, GA ?

  • Daycare -- social interaction, more structure, usually less costly, never has a sick day, don't have to worry about the "nanny tax" or providing a secure work environment. Don't have to worry about nanny stealing (apparently it's a big thing, hence nanny cams)

    Nanny -- personalized care, more flexiblity (espeically with child illness and medication), don't have to drive your child anywhere. more control over your child (ie you can dictator when to eat and how much. you usually can within reason at a day care, but still must content with their schedules and menus)

    Just some pros and cons

  • Yes, i recommend to be VERY careful who you choose. I went through a few nanny's before i realized that not many people can be trusted w/ your kids. Make sure you do thorough background check, because even some of these companies who find nanny's for you, don't do the best job. They kept sending me nanny's straight out of the ghetto, or they would send me some redneck chick who wanted to bring all her kids over too. So, ya....just be careful.
