Is it okay to put a bottle back in the refrigerator after baby has drank from it?

Hi. I was wondering if it would be okay for me to make a fresh bottle, feed my daughter what she wants of it, and then put it in the refrigerator so she can finish it later. I've heard things about bacteria growing in opened baby food in the refrigerator if saliva is present and I was wondering if it would be the same with formula. Thanks!

  • With formula you want to feed her it within two hours max. I never did save it cause my DD had a very sensitive belly and i was always careful with everything. If i was you make a smaller bottle and if she wants more then just make another. If your talking about breast milk then I'm not to sure about that.

  • I would throw it out after an hour at the longest. Bacteria has a chance to start forming by then.
