Is Obama a citizen?

Well ask one of the congressman that is co-sponsoring the proposal about future presidents birth certificates. Please tell me he is NOT stoking the CARZY fringe even though he KNOWS President Obama IS a citizen...

  • As far as the proposal goes, it's a stupid waste of time right now. There are far more important bills on the table right now, bills that need to be read from cover to cover even if they know how they are going to vote.

It seems petty and vindictive, even if it is innocent, which I doubt.

  • Rachel Maddow said that there must be a genius Democratic strategist responsible for this crazy storm because it is making the Republicans look more and more over the edge and it is draining their credibility.

Then why don't you ask your fellow party members why they are doing this? Why don't you get your panties in a bunch that your elected officials are using this fear? Why aren't you realizing that this is contributing to the right-wing extremist movement??

It is to me, but to the crazies, it gives them something to sink their hate in. and some of the elected officials are stoking the fear of "losing THEIR country"....

  • They anticipate he'll run for re-election, and when he does if this draft legislation becomes law it will apply to him upon his taking office for second term.

The thing is, even if he went door to door showing every single right wing conspiracy theorist his birth certificate, no proof would ever be sufficient for them, because they are driving the fast car to crazy town.

You cant dispel a conspiracy theory, no matter how hard you try.

  • Sweet-a-kins, you have a point. If you ask a Democratic law maker about the Bush/Chenney 911 inside job conspiracy crap they will denounce it and call it vile. Yet the Republican party does not seem to be doing the same with this hogwash.

If it were up to the two of you everyone who voted even the slightest bit conservative would have "right wing extremist" tattooed on their foreheads.

There's extremists on your end too, though, just like in every walk of life and you don't like being lumped in with them anymore then the rest of us do. Think about that.

The polar extremities in our elected offices now are just trying to nit pick to find anything they can to destory each other and sinking to their level is what will be the downfall of our country.

I think the real bipartisanship will come only when we stop listening to the dingbats that somehow slid into our representitive seats and we come together to get rid of them, that's when our country will get back on track and we can get back to arguing about normal things LOL
