  • You may wan to look into an organic mattress or futon.

Have you read the latest that about using a fan in the room when the baby is sleeping?

  • sleep baby on back...breastfeed. Both reduce the rate of sids. Also no smoking in house or anywhere near baby.

  • Not this garbage again.

It's not new "information" it's OLD news. It's also garbage. It's been disproven twice.

The "toxins" the jerk is talking about (scaring moms into buying his stupid cover) are bogus and the chemicals of which he writes haven't been put in mattresses for YEARS.

    Your mattress is fine.

If you're that worried, then cover the stupid thing. But then remember....the baby will be warmer because the plastic holds heat.

If it really was the cause of SIDS, then why isn't it all over the news? Why haven't warnings been put out all over the world? Why do babies still die of SIDS?

    It's BOGUS information.

  • If you really researched it from CREDIBLE sources, you'd know there is no known cause for SIDS.

You'd know there is no stopping it if it's going to happen.

You'd know it's called SUDDEN for a reason.

You'd know that in adults it's called SUDS (Sudden Unexplained Death Syndrome).

You'd know that it is far more important to enjoy the time you have with your baby than it is to worry about what might never happen to the point of you NOT being able to enjoy your baby.

You'd know that the guy who did the study about the "toxic mattresses" is a crack pot.

You'd know that he never controlled for ANY variables and therefore his results cannot be inferred upon any population other than the village he used for his sample.

  • everything has the potential to kill us.

get a new mattress, buy a cover for it.

there is no real cause of SIDS, either it happens or it won't and everyone has different ideas of what will cause it.

how many people bought a $30mattress for walmart and their kids are still alive? how many didn't breast feed? who slept on their tummy?
