  • my daughter is 15 months and isn't really talking. she's a stubborn little girl. =\
    she won't say mama, papa, or anything other than
    DUNNNNNNNNNnnnNN (done). i guess they all learn in their own time.

  • No, I wouldn't be concerned. my son wasn't talking basically at all - 1/2 words only and once he turned about 20 months he now is going through a huge verbal growth spurt - talking all the time, repeating, sounding out words - I was worried too cause he didn't even say his first word til around 1yr..

  • My son says a few basic words but he clearly understands more than he can say. Maybe to get your little one started you can start talking to him/her a lot. Just explain what you are doing or what you are buying when you are in the grocery store. Maybe you could label body parts at bath time or say what will happen next in your daily routine.
