  • if you dont want to use chemicals try vinegar careful with the eyes and the comb for the nits. talk to your doctor too or a pharmacist.

  • I am sorry to hear what you are going through :(

Ask your doctor what will be best for you while being pregnant, but for the kids use "RID" that works great just follow the directions and you'll be fine. GL

  • Use OIive Oil, just put it on and let it sit for at least 30 minutes, you can leave it on longer...as long as you want. Then use the metal lice comb and comb it out, then wash with regular shampoo 2 or 3 times. THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP: after the hair is dry sit the child down in front of you, and start going through their hair picking all the left over nits out. If you don't get all the nits out they will hatch later and you'll be back in the same boat. Make sure you wash all bedding, including pillows in as hot of water as you can and dry on high in the dryer. Vacum all mattresses, and furniture through the house. All soft toys, like stuffed animals; either put them in the washer and dryer, or put them in a plastic back for at least a week.

It really is alot of work, but you can't skip any of it! Also you should let anyone know who has been around your kids, like extended family.

  • Tea tree oil works the best, and is natural. I am pretty sure it kills the nits as well. Just leav it in the hair overnight and the bugs are gone. It is also good for your hair and skin, although it kind of stinks.
