  • Call the library (on base & out in town) to see if they offer a story hour. Play dates with the neighbor kids is cheap & easy. The beach is fun while the weather is still nice. I called about Kindermusik once, it was pricey but it might be worth checking into again. Would he be interested in gymnastics or karate at his age? Are you involved with your husband's unit? Meeting the other wives/kids could give you some ideas or just a way to make new friends. I suggested to another mom about consulting her LINKS binder. It might offer some good kid activities. We did a lot of family stuff--fishing, festivals & other free events that were in the evenings or the weekends.
