Do you have to use a bassionet when the baby is a newborn?

  • No a baby can go straight into a crib. Just make sure theres nothing that the baby could get suffocated with. From my experience bassinets are just easier for the begining when the baby is up more frequently.

  • No but it is really handy to have in your room while the baby is still small.

  • no you dont have to. my son was in his crib since day one. but some find it easier to have the baby in a bassinet, in the parent's bedroom during the newborn months.

  • I used one when my son was born to keep him near by. It lasted a whole 2 or 3 months before he got too big for it though. It wasn't worth it to me.
