The boys ages 9, 10, 13, and 14 lured an 8 year old girl into a storage shed and gang raped her. They have all admitted to the crime and are all facing sexual assault charges. The 14 year old is being charged as an adult. The parents of the 8 year old girl have disowned her and told police to take her away. They don't want her anymore because she has "shamed the family".
Do you think the parents of the boys should face some sort of charges as well? Maybe child neglect since they failed to teach them not to rape girls. Should any other children they have be taken away as well?
What about the parents of the girl? Should they be allowed to have their daughter back if they were to change their minds and want her back? Should their other children be taken away based on emotional abuse charges? Should they be charged with emotional abuse to the 8 year old?
