kinda of a dumb question but do those ceiling hooks for plants hold alot of weight?

i want to put hooks up for one of my plants not sure the name i think its a philodendron(sp?) its one of those vine type things. i know u have to put the hook into a stud...but worried that it may fall down...

  • into a stud is good
    or use one of those that "open up" like the letter T

  • Depends on how long they are. It should say on the package how much the hooks hold, roughly 8-10 lbs. Longer ones are made to go into the studs in the ceiling and those will hold ALOT of weight! About 30-40 lbs!

  • put it into a stud are you sure you are hanging a heavy plant OR are you hanging a stud

  • The larger the hook, the more weight it can hold.
