Does your state offer the back to school tax free "holiday"?

One was proposed in Colorado early in 2008, but never passed.

  • Yeah, we have it here in NC.

    I worked at Walgreens on one of those days, and OH MY GOD it was horrible. I wanted to die by the end of the weekend.

  • My state has never had one. We live near the MD. border and go there to shop alot and thye haven't had one since 2006. THe closest would be Vir. which is an hour drive plus I would have to find all the stores I need to go to. Where as in MD. I can hit up the mall and th outlet and be done. It isn't worth it in the end., just so I can save $16 in taxes. I would use that in gas just to get to Va. I think all states should hve on maybe they would get more shoppers and boost business.

  • lmao yepp in NC its in august....i experienced that in walmart...working there. was HILARIOUS! it doesnt make that big of a difference if your not doing big shopping, to me it wasnt worth the headache! but when buying big items, or buying for more than one say fight for the markers and paper!!!!!
