knitting question

how do I increase stitches on the beginning and the end of the row in knitting?

  • I usually knit into the front and back of the 2nd to last stitch on each end of the row. It looks neater to me to do it on the 2nd stitch instead of the first. There are a lot of different ways to do increases, though.

  • I usually just "cast on" an extra stitch at the beginning and end of each row then you just knit into each stitch as though it were always there....by the way, you tube has some pretty good instructional videos if you get stuck.
