First Birthday

Our dd will be celebrating her first birthday shortly and was wondering what toys would you suggest as a must have for our lil toddler-to-be-thanks!

  • A walk behind/ride on toy. Our son got one for his first birthday and he still loves it and uses it every day as he approaches his 3rd birthday.

  • I say, go for the classics. They're cheaper, educational, and stand the test of time. They're usually less annoying too. Blocks are a great gift, there are some new ones that are wood but soft, at Toys R US. Also those shape things, where you put the shape through the right slot. Soft books. Or the really hard kind. She's not ready for the real kind yet, but you definitely want to encourage reading. That's a few. Hope it helps!

  • I say anything light weight and colorful. Not too expensive, toddlers do not need much to keep them entertained.
