Sick Dog..anyone had this happen...

My yorkie (11 years old)....well she is acting different..

She still does eat but..

She has been putting her face in tight spots and she will just stand there..

She will walk around the house like she is lost...

She will stand in corners.....

She forgets what side of the door to come in...

She is just not herself...I am taking her to the doctor tomorrow...

Any experience ...anything...would be helpful..

  • My first thought is a vision problem. I had a dog that had glaucoma and he would do similar behaviors- esp the stand in corners thing. He just couldn't see well.

  • could just be old age. even us humans get forgetful as we get older like people who get dementia. I dont see why dogs cant have it to.

  • it could be a eye problen such as caturacts or lost of vison form another disease or it could be a bad tooth like a infection ir a cracked one or inthe worse case sonerioit could be neurolical due to old age we have a senior citizen for a cat and somedays he just sits in one spot and stare off into space or he'll going into a room and cry b/c he cant find us

  • I am thinking tooth problem because she is putting her head in close places- it could be that she is trying to get something to press on her jaw to ease pain.
