  • It's not one particular name, but who is doing it. For example when I take my kids in and they insist on calling me "mom". I told one "I'm not your mother, if I had been I'd have taught you better manors". Hun, sweety or dear by strangers, bugs me too. You have to be at least 75 to call me cutesy names.

  • teamquinn, you don't like it when your kids call you mom? I do agree with you on the Hon. Especially when someone is calling you that and insulting you at the same time!

  • Honey, sweety, dear (when its someone my own age or younger then me) I dont look my age so I run into this a lot. I am usually at least 15 yrs older then the person addressing me as such (sometimes more!) Call me m'am or something! Whatever happen to manners?

  • Bucky. Thank goodness I haven't heard that one since before I was eleven years old when my step-father used to torture me and taught my brothers to tease me, too. I guess my two front teeth were a bit big when they grew in, but they are perfectly proportioned now.
