Every restaurant does! South Beach isn't about special foods, it's about knowing what foods are okay to eat. Skip rolls, breads, buns, potatoes, pasta and rice. Skip desserts and sugary drinks. I could go to McDonalds and order the grilled chicken salad with viniagrette dressing and ice water and be well within South Beach standards....at MCDONALD'S!!! Go to Subway, and you could order a huge loaded sub then eat everything but the bun. At a steakhouse, order steak or chicken (grilled) and salad, skip the potato, fries and rolls. If you're ordering breakfast, a breakfast sandwich at one of the fast food places is okay as long as you don't eat the muffin/biscuit/croissant. Skip the pancakes. Try to stick to eggs, Canadian bacon and fresh fruit. Go ahead, enjoy going out to eat!!!
