My neighbor uses our yard and others as his own personal golf course...

any suggestions on what we could do to put a stop to this? we have found several golf balls in our yard and have seen him walking through the other peoples yard with his golf ball basket (like it's a freakin easter egg hunt!) i've also caught him petting my dog (a staffordshire terrier) over the fence, he's considered a bully breed and if he bites someone i would be in big trouble (he's not likely to bite unless he feels threatened) also we lock our gate if we're going to be gone more than an hour.

  • Ok, somebody has to say it....tell him to play with his balls somewhere else! lol

But yeah, letting him know about the dog is a good thing, you could also check with some of the other neighbors about it might help. If nothing else....find the golf balls first and not let him have them back.

If all else fails, you may have to call the police station and at least put in a complaint...that way if there are any injuries or broken windows....they will have have been notified ahead of time who might be the culprit.

  • Have you spoken with him? I suggest notifying him in writing about the dog, so you have some protection if he does get bit.
