Anyone diagnosed with PCOS and gotten pregnant?

I was diagnosed with PCOS after 2 years without a period. I was told I couldn't have anymore children unless i used fertility drugs. After starting a new excercise regimen 5 months ago (I ride between 4-6 miles a day on my bike), my periods returned. I have not been using birth control and am hoping to get pregnant, and I have not taken any fertility drugs. Although I have lost almost 40 pounds due to my rigourous bike riding i would gladly stop riding if i could have another baby! Just looking to see if anyone out there has any advice. Please no jokes or bashing, thank you.

  • I have PCOS and endometriosis, and I was told I would never be able to carry a child full-term, even with fertility drugs. I'm now 38 weeks pregnant, although it took 3 years to get there! :) Exercising btw is a great way to increase your odds; I was told that by several doctors.. Good luck and don't give up!

  • I got pregnant using the sympto-thermo method even with PCOS and endometriosis. Several doctors told me I would never have children and I have 3 sons.

  • I got pregnant without fertility treatments with my son. I was on metformin(a drug to help control insulin) at the time. I was also 60 pounds lighter at the time. So it is possible to do without fertility drugs.
I will be starting clomid soon as TTC #2 hasn't been as easy. The fact that your periods have returned on their own is a good sign. Good luck!
