Diapers still good 13 months out of package?

Probably a silly question but not sure if diapers "expire". My 7 month old didn't fit in the newborn size diapers when she was born, out of laziness I kept them filled in a diaper stacker all of this time and it's still hanging on her closet door. Anyway, my 3rd child will be born in January and just wondering if they will still be "good" 13 months later?

  • I would think they would be fine as long as they're clean (not dusty)

  • I used diapers leftover from one kid to the next. It is perfectly fine.

  • I don't see why they wouldn't but again make sure they are clean, you don't want something in the diaper irritating your babies skin. Good luck!

  • Yes, they should be fine. As foster parents, I keep a supply of several sizes of diapers, because when we get a placement, it's usually on very short notice, and we don't know what size we will need. It's been great to have a "stash" until we can get to the store.
