rug $$$$$$$

As my sons asthma is getting worse we're working on a project of tearing out carpeting revealing gorgeous hardwood underneath. My kids bedrooms are both pretty big and I want to get rugs to go in there.... same with the dining room for our big big table. I've really never in my life bought rugs before and so far have been pretty horrified at price tags. Store suggestions, general prices, help!

  • EBAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Watch the shipping charges though---it should cost more tha $30 to mail a rug, but the bargains on ebay are awesome!

  • Well, I understand about pulling up the carpets due to asthma, but I would think you might still have some issues with the rugs. There are other alternatives to fabric rugs, such as bamboo. They might be less expensive for ya as well.

  • I would go with cotton or bamboo; nature-made materials that can be washed in the machine
