what is something homemade you would buy at a craft fair (or off craigslist?)

I'm thinking of making things on the weekends and selling them on craigslist or possibly doing craft fairs and whatnot, but I need ideas. its hard though cause I'm really not that talented. I was thinking of having dh show me how to make stools & shelves then I could get paints/ stencils and do that or making jewlery but would it be worth it? I know I'm not going to make a fortune doing it but any extra money helps... thanks!

  • Making something for pets! People are crazy for their pets and will spend on them. You could buy bulk collars and paint or other pet crafts.

  • Pet stuff is definitely something I would buy at craft fairs. Healthy homemade treats, too.

  • If you're really clever with beading, handmade jewelry that fits a niche market (Christian, wiccan, mideastern, grunge, etc.)

  • There are very few, if anything I would by hand made... Probibly wreaths or baskets... Wooden boxes or trunks, that kind of thing. But really I stay away from "Crafts". They just don't seem to me, to be worth the money, just more junk!
