  • yes! Because a 2 year old just dosen't call anyone mommy...that sounds like she told him to do that! I would be upset. it's not her place to tell him tocall her that & it is her place to correct him if he accidentaly calls her mommy.

  • Hell yea I'd be upset, and like jfblaine said, a 2 year old doesn't call just anyone momma.. she should have been stopping your son from saying it from the first time he said it on.

  • I see nothing wrong with it. My nephew called all women he cared about mommy for a while. His Grandmas, his Aunties. I think it is a term of endearment.
    My guess is that she didn't MAKE him call her that, he probably did it and she didn't correct him.

  • i have a grand daughter and i dont expect for her to call me anything except not her mother and i would really find that uncomfortable.maybe say that to you mom or mil.

  • My mom didn't tell my daughter to call her mommy but she sometimes does. She also calls my sister mommy. Sometimes I refer to myself as Grandma.
