  • Just explain that you are different people and have your differences. You don't need to go into details, and it is said that you should never bad-mouth her father because that places her in a bad position.

  • awe:( assure her that you two love each other..or wait are you two divorced? if so just explain that you two still care for each other but its best if you lived apart but both of you still love her just the same. and if you arent divorced and married then i would say to not fight around her anymore and go to couples conseling,

  • Start geTting along when she is around and don't talk bad about each other. If she is noticing that you don't like each other then something needs to change.

  • Um, don't say anything negative about him around her and don't let anyone else. Explain that it isn't a matter of not liking or loving each other, it is just you get along better not being together. It has nothing to do with her. Assure her that you both love her very much. I would also make a point to get along better with each other, especially in front of her.

  • If you don't like him, try to think about something positive to say, like "your dad is a great daddy to you. he loves to read to you and is a great builder of towes, and he is so patient teaching you how to cook, but he and i decided we were better as friends because we couldn't get along"
