  • I'd call your OB but if they aren't getting any closer this could be a false alarm. Don't get too excited just call and let them know what you are experiencing. good luck!

  • after an hour? she just said she had them all day at 10 minutes. If they aren't getting closer this is most likely not the time. I wouldn't rush to the hospital before contacting your OB

  • Call doctor and keep timing them. Youll be more comfterable at home right now anyway.

  • You should wait as long as you can. I had the same thing going on...I waited until my contractions were 2.5 min. a part. That way you will avoid the long hours in the hospital. Go for a walk if you can and take a hot shower. That's what I did and it helped me a lot. I got to the hospital at 8.20 pm (I was 6cm) and my daughter was born an hour later. Good luck!!!

  • I can say in my personal experience that i had timable contractions for an entire month before they had to induce me at 42 weeks. Like some of us said if your contractions are not getting closer together you WILL be sent home. My OB would ask me questions to see if i could speak to them during my contractions. Real contractions (active labor) will be more intense and much closer together. Don't get excited and just call your OB and let them know what's going on I'm sure they will advise you the same. Wait it out at home.
