Do babies sometimes get rashes on their face when they are getting a tooth?

My daughter just turned 5 months and she has 2 teeth already and one other coming in. its on her right side, and i noticed she has a rash on her lower cheek by her mouth kind of. Can babies get rashes like that when teething?

  • ya, its a rash because they are drooling alot more due to the tooth coming in

  • My son gets theething cheekes each time he gets a tooth. His cheeks get bright red and chapped looking until the tooth comes through (not related to drooling)

  • Yes it's from the drool. does he use a paci too? that can make it worse, too. Use aquphor to help.
