  • im a strong believer on piercing your childs ears when THEY come to you for it, until then i honestly believe its for selfish reasons cause the mother wants them not the child, IMO

  • I have not done my daughters yet but I plan on it. My mom did mine at 3 months. I didn't realize that they weren't part of my body until I was three and by then the holes couldn't grow shut. So now they won't grow shut I think its a good idea. but that's jmo

  • My oldest daughter had hers done when she was three, that's what she wanted to do when she was all through potty training. I got my youngest done when she was around 6 months, and personally I think that was the best way to do it.

  • DD is almost 2. I don't think it's fair to poke a painful, infection risking hole in her without her consent. So I'm waiting til she asks for them. Then I don't care how many she wants.

  • It's up to you as the parent. It's actually less painful than getting a shot. Some babies cry where others don't. Risk from an infection are if it's not properly taken care of. If you want, talk to the pedi about it.
