  • is the cat strickly inside? if not i wouldnt even do it with gloves.... another thing is you shouldnt put the clean litter in because of the dust and stuff that rises when you do it i would have someone else change it for you and the babys sake

  • Gloves and a face mask. Because cats produce toxins in there urine and litter being as its dusty can get in your lungs when you breathe as well. Also you should garden outside anywhere a cat could have been the yard because of the same danger. I hope this helps you ^_^

  • gloves and a mask. A friend of mine had to do it because she didnt have anyone else there to do it her boyfriend didnt live with her. And her baby was just fine. =) But like a previous poster said you need the mask when putting in fresh litter also.

  • Is there any friends you can ask to do it for you? Its really not safe, but if you have to, make sure to wear a mask and long gloves. Wash really well afterward, and don't touch your face before you wash. You might want to look into the self-cleaning cat boxes since you have 9 months to have to do this with. You can usually find one at Target or Walmart for around $60-$100.

  • men suck at cat boxes, the only risk from cat boxes is a toxic parasite from their feces, you dont need to wear a freaking mask. the parasite is only active in cats who actually have it and the feces has to sit for 48 hours before it's harmful. scoop the box and wash your hands.

  • I you are going to do it, wear gloves and a mask.... The dust and fumes rise up from the litter when you change it, So you don't really want to be breathing it in... and gloves obviously to protect against infections.
