hypothyroid diet

What types of foods should be avoided if you have hypothyroid and which ones should be consumed regularly?
I know sugar and white flour are a couple of the no no's...but I was wondering if I could find a list somewhere.

  • Your doctor should have referred you to a nutritionist or dietician. If not, get a new doctor and a referral

  • Anything with gluten seems to make thyroid problems worse...and weight gain :/
It's hard to cut out gluten though, but it's recommended that you cut down as much as you can.
If you eat things with gluten go for wheat and healthier foods like wheat spaghetti noodles instead of white, and wheat bread etc.
