Is it okay to pump milk, leave it room temp for about an hour then pump more. like add to it. i dont make alot as it is and boobs are super chapped and red they hurt to bad to feed so i have to pump just wondering if i could do a little at a time

  • yeah same temp milk so room temp and just pumped is ok to add together...

    BUT if you pump and feed bottles early on it'll be very hard to get baby back tot he rbeast and to maintain supply...

    Chapped an red doesn't sound right, you need to see a LC asap, get some help so that you are not in pain...

    How do you know you don't make much?? based on pumping??

  • You should try and get some of the Lanolin (sp?) nipple ointment for the chap. I was chapped for a couple days, and that worked wonders for me. Also, you have to just press through the uncomfort. Your body adjusts to everything after a few days, maybe a week, of breastfeeding.
