Does anyone know how to remove dye stains on a licensed shirt?

We bought a licensed shirt and the adhesive attached to the events advertisement left some dye stains on the letter number. Have tried peroxide, vinigar, soap and water. Afraid that bleach might yellow the number on the shirt as it is made out of the vinyl type embossed stuff. Its just a little bit of dye/ ink from the lettering on the flyer, but just enough to ruin the look of the shirt.

  • Try laying the area over a bowl and pouring boiled water over the stain. This works for berry stains. Maybe for dye too. To keep the hot water from fading the rest of the shirt (haven't had it happen but it could especially on a new shirt) Secure just the area for stain removal around perimeter of the bowl (or glass if small) with a rubber band so that the hot water can only pass threough this small area. Good luck.
