how do you cook broccoli, cauliflower and carrots? the fresh kind

and what is that yummy stuff they put on them at chili's? some kind of spice that is yummy

  • I steam them and put butter and salt. I hate boiled veges

  • Steam or sautee, and you can glaze them with brown sugar or honey too.

  • get a drainer, fill a pot with water and put the drainer in the pot (without water touching it) and put a lid on it. i like broccoli with cheese on it :)

  • I like to bake a cauliflower head in a covered casserole when I am baking something else. The cauliflower gets an almost nutty flavor. But other than that, I put cut up broccoli and cauliflower in a casserole dish with a little water, cover, and microwave until done. Depending on amount, it usually is done in 6-7 minutes. I add a little butter when serving.

  • I eat them raw; I put them in curry; I dice and use in stir-fries, I cook in soups and stews and chili.
