Did your shoe size increase with your pregnancies?

I'm curious.... Is this possible? They say with each pregnancy your body Grows. Be it your nose your Feet Etc... Well this is my DD's 3rd Pregnancy. She had to get new Shoes. They were Very Costly. With her DH being Jobless & her work hours cut! But $35.00 Shoes! The only Size & pair that would fit her feet now! Size:11. When she told me that I was Shocked!! Anyone Else!? Where could we get her Shoes to fit for Cheaper? Nothing At GoodWill or Any second hand stores like that!!

  • yes and I had to wear slippers. I bought these mickey mouse slippers. I retained so much water those last few days and I really thought my skin was going to split. It took about a week for the swelling to go down. I got dirty looks from the Doctor that did my son's 7 day check up. I thought, bitch if you say something...anyway I fired her later and got a new doctor.

  • During pregnancy my feet were swollen, but about 2 months PP, they were back to normal. I still wear all the same shoes.

  • My width got larger, but I still wear a size 8. It used to me an 8 wide, but not it is an 8 double wide.

  • I went up about 1/2 size permanently between when I got pregnant with DS & through the pregnancy & deliver of DD (they are 17 months apart). But I only went from 7 1/2 to an 8 so no biggie.

You can try the men's section for shoes. Basic tennis shoes & black flip flops are pretty unisex. Target has a good selection. You can also try plus sized stores like Lane Bryant or Torrid. They are pretty pricey but they do have clearance sections. WalMart occasionally has ladies shoes up to size 11. Payless Shoe Source has a small selection as well. Famous Footwear has some shoes up to size 11 & has some pretty good sales. I know all this b/c my DD is 5'10" tall & wears size 11 D shoes so I have gotten used to shopping for them. Good luck!

  • Somehow mine went down. I was a size 9 from the time I was like 15 years old, and after two kids, I'm a size 8 to 8.5 and I've had to replace all my pre-kid shoes.

  • Mine got wider. My vision got worse too...

  • I don't know if my feet necessarily grew..but I did need to get new shoes because the ones I had were fitting super tight. I would suggest a pair of slip ons, with no back.. easier when you can't bend down to get them on =) I would say Payless for shoes, idk what size they go up to.. or you could try Burlington Coat Factory, or even Marshalls/TJMaxx (I used to work there..and you can find good deals on clearance and such)

    My vision also got worse!

  • I was a 4 1/2-5, now i can wear a 6-7! Its exciting for me because I never could find shoes that fit, and now that my foot is normal sized I can!
