I should probably know this but....

How do you know when you're ovulating without getting one of those ovulation tests?

  • Look for the cervical mucus. It will look like egg whites.

Go pick up a copy of "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Wechsler. Worth a gazillion ovulation kits...I got pregnant the VERY FIRST cycle after reading it. I'd been trying to use OPKs for MONTHS with no success.

  • I always getting a shooting pain near my ovaries, either one side or the other depending on which one is spitting out the egg. I'll look at the calender and realize it's right between periods, so it's pretty regular. it feels like I got stuck with a penknife, off and on throughout the day.
