co-sleeping/bed-sharing momma's: going on vacation and not sure about sleeping arrangements-need advice!

we bed-share. our mattress is on the floor, against the wall, and we have a bed-rail. we will be going to the shore soon and we are going to stay in a hotel. any suggestions for sleeping arrangements there? bringing a sleeping bag and sleeping on the floor is not an option for us. i have chronic back pain and can't do it. she has never slept without someone next to her, so i don't think a pack and play will work for us either. any suggestions will be appreciated! thanks ladies!

  • We recently moved across country and stayed in hotels along the way. I slept in one bed with Johnathan and my hubby slept in the other bed with Andrew. One night, we had a wall next to the bed. That was nice. The other nights, I surrounded Johnathan with pillows and myself. GOOD LUCK!

  • How old? An infant? Eddie Bauer makes a small travel sleeper (it's a collapsible box) that can be bought at Target. Place her in that and the box in bed with you. We did this with our first born when he was little and it worked well.  Also we've used a cosleeper called Arms Reach that is great.  It packs up for travel too.

  • Depends on how old? If over 1, just keep in the bed with you and keep your child towards the middle. If under one, there are little sleepers that you can put on the bed (it creates a separate sleeping space for infants) that keeps anyone from rolling on or them from rolling off.

  • When DH, DD (9 months at the time) and DS went to the beach we stayed in a condo and just used the queen bed for DD, DH and I. We tried putting her in the play pen, which was a waste of 15 bucks to rent it because she never slept in it. DS (he's two) had no problem in his. But, we put Ry in the middle of us and she nursed and slept. I however, didn't sleep. Lol.

  • sorry, she is 13 months. at home she rolls all over the bed and climbs off. that is why i am worried. i probably should have mentioned that. it will also just be kyrie and i in one bed.
