Renters: Do you think is fair that half of your wages go to cover rent expenses?

We make about 55,000.00 annually and I don't like the idea that 25,000.00 is spent in our rent. How in the world one can save money?

  • Not to be mean or anything but what is life is really fair...

My rent here is 1825.00 per month and it is a two bedroom house...

Be happy that you have a job and a roof over your head...

  • It's hard. The recommended ratio is 30%. Maybe you are in the wrong apt.

  • I would think that maybe you are living above your means. We gross $27,000 a year and pay about $7,800 a year in rent and utilities. Which is just above a third of our income.
