  • We do pay attention and try to buy those items when we can afford them... We won't go out of our way to buy them and if money is tight we get what we can and just deal with it, but now we are starting to look into making our own stuff when it comes to cleaners and stuff like that!

  • I do but ever since I got laid off I dont buy organic foods anymore because we simply can't afford it. Basically my whole check would go to organic foods but now its not there so its different, but I am looking forward to doing it again when I work. Chemicals? We are in the process of switching. as houshold cleaners run out we re-stock with organic. So far it has only been personal hygene stuff but as soon as we need to buy some more dish soap that will be next, etc.

  • Avoiding nasty household chemicals yes, trying to reduce the use of plastics yes and using cold water for laundry to reduce power bills. The cost is still a problem with organicc foods but I try to buy organicc potatoes when I can as more pesticides are used on potatoes than any other crop. We also try to use cosmetic products such as shampoos , which are labelled as not tested on animals to avoid toxic contents as there are no effective controls on what goes into them.

  • i'm definetly not obsessive about it.. but i have switched to organic shampoos, chem. free tooth paste and deoderant, make my own cleaners( which mostly just involves simply using baking soda and vinegar alot) have my own garden, by locally from farmers market when possible, we also use cloth diapers and cloth wipes and napkins.

  • I try to as much as I can.

  • I pay closer attention to the food then the cleaners

If i have different perservatives such as MSG or splenda My bladder and kidneys spasm, the condition may be able to be passed to my daughter so all her food is monitered the same way and i would prefer to make baby food instead of buy something that could cause this pain with her
