Pillow Question

Everytime my son sleeps he ends up using either his blanket or teddy bear as a pillow. Does this mean he is ready for his own real pillow?

  • yeah, he's ready. Children can have pillows and larger blankets once they have the motor control to move them. The reason they are not advised for infants is that they don't have the motor control to move them if they get on their face. But generally by 1, most children are able to move pillows and blankets to meet their needs.
