  • I've always made rice pudding with raw rice, and I've recently discovered it works really well in the Crock Pot. There may be something different about the rice you are getting now which would explain why yours is turning out differently.

  • I don't usually use a recipe, but try this:

    Banana & Brown Rice Pudding
    1 medium banana
    1/4 cup water
2 Tbsp honey or maple syrup or agave
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    2 cups cooked brown rice
1 cup nonfat milk or soymilk (but I'm sure rice/almond milk would also work)
In a medium saucepan, combine the banana, sweetener, water vanilla & cinnamon. Bring the mixture to a boil and stir. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes or until soft but not mushy.
Add the rice and milk and mix well.Bring back to a boil, and simmer for 10 minutes,
    stirring occasionally.
