My daughter's only 4 months and doesn't crawl yet, but my husband and I purchased baby gates last night in anticipation.... Just curious as to when other moms' babies started crawling?????? I know some babies skip this step all together... my friends son never crawled (he hated tummy time so she never made him do it, had omething to do with that) and now he walks... And my mother said I only crawled backwards! HAHA... Please share your experiences:

  • my little girl was almost 11 months. she never even showed interest, just one day up and crawled clear across the room. there's a big margin for crawling but it's never too early to introduce safe practices. i still need to get a gate!

  • My DD is 9 months and not crawling yet. She rolls everywhere though! She has also figured out that if she is on a blanket and her toy is on the blanket, she can pull the blanket and the toy comes to her. She just started crawling backwards a bit. She has been taking step while holding hands for at lest 2 months now. So as others have said, there is a wide range of ages.
