at what age do you start using a pillow for your child?

my little girl is 16 months old and i just want to know when is a good time.

  • My DD didnt get one until she was in a toddler bed.

  • For my daycare licensing, I can't use pillows for any child under 4 years old. For my own children, I started using them at 2.

  • I don't see any point of using them unless they need them for sinus drainage or if they sleep on their side and need the pillow so their neck doesn't get a crick in it. Pillows aren't great for posture, from what I can see.

  • my son got one at 15 months when he moved into his toddler bed my daughter will be a little later prob 18 months b/c she was very preemie so she is little.

  • My daughter (19 months) just got one at the beggining of the month when she moved into a toddler bed. And the only reason I gave her one is because she sleeps on her arm, so when she wakes up her arm is all red and irritated. So I showed her to put her arm under the pillow. Now, no more red arm lol.
