Havent even had the baby yet, and my nipples are dry, cracked, and bleed?

is this normal, I put nipple cream on them and still they are not better.... is it because I was them with soap and water?

  • I was always told that using soap on your nipples will dry them out and cause problems... I only ever use baby soap if I use any kind of soap at all.. There is also some stuff that you can buy, I think Walmart carries it, called Bag Balm.. Comes in a green tin... works great for almost everything!!

  • Yeah you're not supposed to wash your boobs. Your body produces natural oils that self-cleanse. Wash the folds (like under your boobs) but don't wash your nipples, but the skin is super-sensitive. Same goes for when you're breastfeeding.
