What do you think of "State farm" insurance company?

Hello, all of you.

My husband and I have two cars.

One is 2001 corvette and the other one is small old mustang.

We have both of them insured in the State farm company.

I'd like you to assess our insurance fee on the cars.

Firstly, we pay the insurance bill every six month for both of them.

For the Corvette, it would be approximately $500. (every six month)

And for the Mustang, we pay $450 every six month.

So it would be nearly $160-170 spending on the auto insurance monthly.

I'm not sure if this amount is overcharging or just fine.

I hope you moms could give me some advice on this insurance thing.

After all, I'm a normal married woman trying to save some leaking

money from monthly bills around the house.

If you think I'm overpaying for the auto insurance,

please let me know since I'm all ready to transfer

  • Thanks for your answer!

    Oh, I live in Colorado.

So does it mean that your Honda is also insured in State farm?

Luckily, we don't have speeding tickets yet, but who knows? lol

  • Your age plays a little part too if you are younger it is usually a little more. I think your rates are reasonable

  • I love State Farm. My MIL has an 02 corvette insured through USA insurance and they pay like $250 monthly for just that. I think your rates are good because of the types of vehicles-both sports cars and expensive. my suv is only $40/mth through them, but that liability.

  • My DH is an agent so I love SF.

What you pay depends on a lot of factors including the age of all drivers in your house, your driving record, and now even your credit scores plays a part.

Based on the little info in your post though, it does not sound like you are overpaying. To be sure, call another company and get a comparable quote, but make sure to have the new quote have the same amount of coverage that you have through State Farm.

  • My husband and I have both been with State Farm since we first started driving, and we both love them!
I think what you are paying is very reasonable, that is about what we run paying for our two cars. We have an 06 Mazda Tribute and a 98 Dodge Stratus, of course we are a pretty young couple. But from what I have looked at they have some of the best rates. And anytime we have had to file a claim they have been wonderful and gotten things taken care of so quickly for us.
