  • Grammar has nothing to do with how well one takes care of a child.
I know that family does take advantage of each other. Are there ways that they can help you out to make up for the difference? If not, you should renegotiate payment because it's way too little. Shop (call/visit)around and see how much other places charge for that age and time length and bring those facts to the negotiating table. Good luck.

  • Negotiate with them or try to.I mean if you are doing it mainly just to help out and not in need of the money is something different.I suposse you are in need of the money though or you'd not be asking.I think you are not being adequately paid.

  • minimum $75, $100 is better. It would be more than that at a daycare center.

You want her to come back and ask when she will be taken seriously?? Do you have a specific date in mind or are you playing it by ear?

Your a rude @ss. Grammer and spelling must be all you know, since you apparently never answer a question. Low self esteem??

  • It's hard to understand your question, but I think you are saying they only paid you $60/week to watch their baby from 7 am to 4 pm every day? They are taking advantage of you. Make them pay you more or tell them to find another babysitter. The new babysitter will charge them a whole lot more than they are paying you.

  • 60/40 works out to only 1.50. You are working for $1.50 an hour. Yes, you should stop or charge more. Most daycares charge at least $5 an hour. Which would be $200 a week.

  • That's slave wages. Find out what the standard is in your area...you can check craigslist. Then you can give them a family discount from the prevailing wage, but not that low.
