  • If they can tax my diet coke and chocolate, what if they decide eggs are too high in cholesterol? They are going to control what people eat by taxing it.

  • Drinking too much water can kill a person. Living on a diet limited to organic broccoli and carrots would be extremely unhealthy. These kinds of laws are ridiculous.

  • Imagine how much higher campaign contributions will be now from the assorted food industries to stay off the tax list. Course, they'll have to raise prices to cover what they pay the politicians.

  • I think pop should be taxed, and TV dinners. I was a cashier for 15 years and people who recieve FS buy an awful lot of pop and TV dinners and they shouldnt be allowed to. I seen them put back bananas when they didnt have enough money instead of all the unhealthy junk they buy. I dont think they should tax chocolate, for obvious reasons, but also if they limit it to only those 2 things, it will improve some people's outlook on what IS healthy. If they go beyond that, We then run the risk of them doing what pp SAID, because they change their mind too much on whats good and whats not, I dont want them controlling EVERYTHING I buy.
