Oh goodie

El presidente is coming back to town. Again. To lie to our faces. Again. Last time he was here, it cost us $1.2 trillion dollars. Any guesses on how much he's going to charge the country after he whores out his local supporters one more time?

Bonus question: how many questions from the 20% of our population that's unemployed will he dodge after he promised them all last time he was here that they'd qualify for COBRA (when they didn't)?

  • You would think all that flying around in Air Force One would be bad for the environment. Oh wait, it's only the "little people" who are contributing to Global Warming, the really important ones can continue to pollute because they can afford to buy carbon credits. LOL

  • This is the fifth time he's been here (aka the fifth time our local government has had to pay for the mess he makes whenever he passes through). I think we need a local Obama travel expense bailout.

  • So, np, are you going to go see him? You could pretend to be a good girl that's going to read the nice scripted question they give you, and then ask him something completely ruthless. It'll be great!

His teleprompter will still be answering the scripted question, which will make it double fun!

  • Not possible. When he comes to town, all his supporters get emails telling them when tickets are available. They don't release it to the press until 24 hrs after that. By then there's people lined up for half a mile. The only way you can get in to see him is to have voted for him or be one of his pet sob stories he'll talk about on stage (in which case you probably voted for him anyway or he wouldn't mention you) or be the mayor.

  • Have we ever had a President who traveled this much? It seriously seems like he is off on his jet every single day since he has been in office. In these bad economic times, it seems like his staying in Washington would be a good way to save the country tons of money. I think it would be very interesting to know how many days since he took office, he has actually stayed in D.C. and taken care of whatever Presidents usually take care of.

  • During his campaign he came here and somebody asked him what he planned to do about Hanford. He said he wasn't err, ahh familiar with the Hanford, umm situation, but he'd look into it and get back to us. (The "err, ahh Hanford, umm situation" is only the worst nuclear reactor waste disposal mess in the United States and has been for the past 12 years)

So far he has NOT "got back to us" on it. Actually, we don't care, we are used to nobody ever doing jack chit about it. And we all just LOVE living with this mess in our back yard. (Less than 50 miles away.)
